Disgruntled virginal nun “Flavia” rebels against her convent once it dawns on her that boorish men are calling all the shots & indiscriminately dispensing grisly punitive tortures for the least of infractions! Give Flavia a suit of armour & she’ll get medieval on yer ass! What unfolds is a loose proto-feminist revisionist retelling of historical events based on a fifteenth century Muslim invasion of Italy; “the Martyrdom of the 800 at Otranto,” which degenerates into a Jodorowskyesque hallucination-induced surrealist orgy of blood & sex! The heading for this Motion Picture Purgatory which originally appeared in a 2007 issue of The Montreal Mirror was “Feminazinunsploitation!” As always; the original art’s for sale @ 100 bucks.
