Finally after some time I hear footsteps. I stop in my tracks like a frozen rabbit hoping to be passed over unseen. But they approach me surely, confidently, as if this person can clearly see me in the dark. Then the sound stops & there is a click: a dangling light bulb is turned on just above my head. The shock of all this makes me duck down as if to avoid a blow. At first all I see is a pair of shiny work shoes in front of me, but as I slowly stand up, I see they belong to an aging security guard. He is much smaller than me, as if he has shrivelled up in his old Expo '67 uniform, or I have grown enormous.
