I then head off towards the abandoned Labyrinth. I find the front entrance boarded up, & the emergency exit staircases separated from the building, rusting in the grass. It was on one of the last days of Expo that we finally made it inside. Like the Meditheatre (that had so disturbed me), the crowd was made to stand along a series of four-tiered galleries looking down on an enormous screen stretched out on the floor. Like the Meditheatre, the theme here was about what goes on inside of us. But rather than blood & guts, it tried to represent some deeper reality. "Today we are no less troubled by the torment of uncertainty, which remains forever a self-renewing Labyrinth."
